Criteria for success:

Defining your “current state” and “future state” business processes as a result of the technology implementation for each location. Measure baseline, pre-implementation measures, and define performance targets to quantify how RFID will improve your business.

Establishing performance measures and expectations for stakeholders impacted by the technology change. This should link back to your high level business case and return on investment (ROI) analysis and will ensure accountability for effective implementation of the RFID within all impacted roles and functions.

Stakeholder identification:

Ensuring that you have project subject matter experts and core team members who understand your operations from all key locations. These people will be instrumental in helping implement business processes and organizational changes.

Defining your key stakeholders and change agents from each location to ensure you have sufficient involvement and representation from each area. These people will also help to identify change activities that will work for their specific work locations.

Workflow documentation:

Documenting how your company and processes will change after the implementation of RFID.

Change management, communications, and training program development:

Identifying the impact that ERP will have on employees’ jobs, and develop a change management, communications, and training program that focuses on employee groups who are most impacted by the new technology.

Identifying barriers and resistors to the change and develop a strategy to address this at the onset.
